Reddit not working for you?

If we show Reddit as up but it won't load for you, try these steps:

  1. Pull to refresh or reload the page. Feeds sometimes fail while the rest of Reddit works.
  2. Update the app, or clear its cache (on Android: Settings → Apps → Reddit → Storage).
  3. Log out and back in if you see login or 'session expired' errors.
  4. If only uploads fail, try a smaller photo or video, or switch networks.

Is Reddit down right now?

No. Reddit is up and responding normally as of our last check (1 min ago). If it isn't working for you, the problem is probably on your side, so try the fixes on this page.

Why is Reddit not working for me?

If Reddit is up for us but not for you, the cause is usually local: an outdated browser cache, a DNS problem, your internet connection, a VPN or ad blocker, or an out-of-date app. Work through the steps under "Reddit not working for you?" above.

How do you check if Reddit is down?

Our server requests https://www.reddit.com/ every 2 minutes from outside your network. If Reddit answers at all, even with a redirect or a sign-in page, we count it as up. Timeouts, refused connections, DNS failures and 5xx server errors count as down. Press "Check now" to run a live test at any time.

Does Reddit have an official status page?

Yes. Reddit posts official status updates at redditstatus.com.
