Spotify not working for you?
If we show Spotify as up but it won't load for you, try these steps:
- Lower the playback quality, or pause for a minute so the video can buffer.
- Close other apps and devices that are using your bandwidth.
- Sign out and back in. If the app fails, try the website, or the other way round.
- On a smart TV or streaming stick, restart the device and check for app updates.
Official Spotify status
We don't know of an official public status page for Spotify. During big outages, Spotify's official social media accounts usually post updates.

Is Spotify down right now?
No. Spotify is up and responding normally as of our last check (1 min ago). If it isn't working for you, the problem is probably on your side, so try the fixes on this page.
Why is Spotify not working for me?
If Spotify is up for us but not for you, the cause is usually local: an outdated browser cache, a DNS problem, your internet connection, a VPN or ad blocker, or an out-of-date app. Work through the steps under "Spotify not working for you?" above.
How do you check if Spotify is down?
Our server requests https://open.spotify.com/ every 2 minutes from outside your network. If Spotify answers at all, even with a redirect or a sign-in page, we count it as up. Timeouts, refused connections, DNS failures and 5xx server errors count as down. Press "Check now" to run a live test at any time.
